Jaxon comes across as cruel and arrogant but, as the story progresses, we learn that he is torturing himself for killing his brother, Hudson. And Hudson turns out to be her true mate, not Jaxon. Not the Grace he wants to put on a self like a fragile human to protect. Hudson could have just been her bestfriend they did not have to get together. If theres a feeling that Tracy Wolff knows how to invoke in readers, it is the absolute frustration that these characters embody on the page. Those answers might reveal more than they bargained for, and a true monster might be unleashed. As Grace walks on eggshells, trying to keep the peace between the two Vega brothers, she also has to protect all the people she loves from the power-hungry vampire king who just so happens to be the father of both guys she loves. Add to this some division after the events of the last book, and you have yourself a major storm brewing, and not in the good way. Covet has so many twists and turns you need a roadmap for this thrilling adventure.
